Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) is mostly used for stabilization purposes and works best with sandy soils. PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement) is a variant of OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement.) These two type of cement differs from each other in terms of component, strength, heat generation, the percentage of several components, durability, grades, cost, eco-friendly nature, application, setting time, curing period etc. PSC consists of 25-70% granulated slag, 3% gypsum and the rest is clinker. PSC has been voted as the most suitable cement for mass construction because of its low heat of hydration.

Ordinary Portland Cement is good for quick strength gaining, so it has high emissions of heat of hydration. While PPC Portland Pozzolana Cement has less heat of hydration. Portland Slag Cement has very less heat of hydration. ultimate strength remains same. You must see the graphs
