Plinth band യഥാസ്ഥാനമായ Basement നു മുകളിൽ(Plinth level ) തന്നെ വാർക്കുമ്പോൾ concrete ൽ ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള water proofing compound കൂടി mix ചെയ്ത് cast ചെയ്ത ശേഷം Bitumen coat കൂടി apply ചെയ്താൽ capillary action വഴി ഉണ്ടാകാവുന്ന നനവിനെ തടയുന്ന Damp proof course ആയും പ്രവർത്തിക്കും.
