RCC frame work ൽ (Columns & beams) അല്ലാതെ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന കെട്ടിടങ്ങളിൽ വരാവുന്ന എല്ലാതരം load കളെയും മണ്ണിൻ്റെ Safe bearing capacity ക്ക് അനുയോജ്യമായി നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന foundation വഴി ഭൂമിയിലേക്ക് ഒരു പോലെ transfer ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ, RCC horizontal seismic band കൾ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ബെൽറ്റും ലിൻറലും (Plinth band and Iintel band) അനേകം ഇഷ്ടികകൾ, കല്ലുകൾ, മറ്റു തരത്തിലുള്ള കോൺക്രീറ്റ് ബ്ലോക്കുകളും ഉപയോഗിച്ചു പണിയുന്ന structure ൻ്റെ integrity ഉറപ്പാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ഒരു കവചം പോലെ കെട്ടിടങ്ങളെ ചെറു ഭൂചലനങ്ങൾ മറ്റു പ്രകമ്പനങ്ങൾ ,ചെറിയ തോതിലുള്ള uneqal settlement കളെയും ഒരു പരിധി വരെ പ്രതിരോധിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു .ഭൂകമ്പ സാധ്യത കൂടുതൽ ഉളള മേഖലകളിൽ RCC Band കൾ തമ്മിൽ മൂലകളിലും openings side കളിലും RCC യിൽ തന്നെ vertical member കൂടി connect ചെയ്യുന്ന രീതിയും നിലവിൽ ഉണ്ട്.
