The saloon was designed in an industrial vintage style to give a unique feel and comfort to the customers. Special features such as adjustable lights, recycled bricks, exposed ceiling style was used. A photo shoot room and dining space was something which was designed out of the client’s requirement list. Set within a plot of 7.5 cents, the house has been set in a corner of the plot giving maximum space for front and side yard for utility. A small and budget friendly house, with larger living spaces, a small courtyard and smaller private spaces. The kitchen was kept semi-open, and in a way that it is connected to all the living spaces. The central area is vertically connected to the first floor, for the living spaces in both floors to be lively and for the passive climate response purposes. Fueled by our inspiration to create meaningful spaces, to date, Builttech has helped our clients comprehend the true potential of their assets. Out of our accomplishments, Serene Horizon was a name that pushed us to invest our hearts and souls. Surrounded by the wilderness of Thekkady, our goal was to bring life to this plot that belonged to an esteemed European client. As the location was perfect for a bustling hospitality destination, our efforts were streamlined to make it a reality without losing the essence of the breathtaking ecosystem. Staying true to the name Serene Horizon, our team brainstormed and implemented an unconventional blend of serenity and luxury. The living space of this apartment welcomes its guests with a sleek television console that refines and squares off the setting. The right side of the living space is defined by a cozy space that works as an outdoor garden. We also took care to ensure all the bedrooms added depth, drama and an even glow. The bedrooms of the apartment are cozy and the dining is inspired by contemporary charm topped by custom hanging lights. CHAYA: THE HOUSE OF SHADOWS Inspired by Louis Kahn's notion that "the sun never knew how great it was until it hit the side of a building," this project celebrates the dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The linear site, with a width constraint of 8.5m to 6.6m, presented a challenge that was addressed through a thoughtful design response. The adjacent boundary wall, with a double-height blank façade, posed a visual monotony that was mitigated through the introduction of an organic graffiti pattern, adding visual interest to the exterior. To optimize the site's potential, the south-western wall was built adjacent to the boundary wall, allowing for the incorporation of required spaces. This wall's solidity, devoid of fenestrations, serves as a thermal buffer against south-western radiation. A courtyard, strategically located along the boundary wall, facilitates natural ventilation and lighting through a custom-designed opening in the façade, covered with pergolas. #architecturedesign
