yes, but it would be better to go with 18" instead of 16" for easy availability n practicability. in this case latak (exposed down beam) is 12" n remaining 6" will be hidden into slab.

ha but yeh span nahi aap depth/latak bolna charhe ho..agr latak bolna chate hoto aap 16" rhk skte ho but for symmetry aap 18" pe jap .. or agr aap span ki bat krrhe hai ki do column ke beech ka span 16' horha hai to aap beam de skte ho bs beam ki r/f and latak bhadani hogi
