(only forests, not plantations). ക്വാറികളും constructions മറ്റും കൂടുമ്പോൾ ഇതിൻ്റെ impact കുറേ കൂടി കൂടുതൽ ആവും. കൂടാതെ വെള്ളം ഒഴുകി പോകുന്ന വഴികൾ അടച്ച് കെട്ടിടങ്ങൾ പണിയുക, പാടം നികത്തുക, പുഴയിലെ മണൽ വാരൽ അങ്ങനെ പലതും ഉണ്ട് listil. പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളും പരിസ്ഥിതി ലോല പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത് അത് കൊണ്ടാണ്. ഓരോ പ്രദേശത്തെയും മണ്ണിൻ്റെ ഘടനയും ബലവും തരവും ഒക്കെ മനസ്സിലാക്കി eco friendly materials (reused , recycled, byproduct materials,etc) ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിർമാണ പ്രവർത്തങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്നതിലൂടെ ഈ ദുരന്തങ്ങളുടെ impact കുറക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും. 3 ആൾക്ക് താമസിക്കാൻ 4 bhk വീട് പണിയുന്ന നമ്മളിൽ പലർക്കും ഇതിൽ വലിയ പങ്കുണ്ട്. അനാവശ്യ വലുപ്പവും ആഡംബരവും ഉള്ള വീട് നിർമിക്കുന്നതിന് മുൻപ് നമ്മളോരോരുത്തരും ഇത്തരം കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

we cant say the reason for land slide and flood is due to the exploitation of nature by man. This happens from decades. Recently it happens in every year or alternative years. Only thing we have to be cautious from this. Try to get away from this rainy seasons in the areas chances to get landslide and flood. Dont ignore the warning from the disaster management. rest all Almighty God's decision

Over exploitation of natural resources is not only the reason for natural disaster and landslides. After the rain, some part of water will seepage into the earth, remaining water will flow into streams then into rivers towards sea. If the forest and trees are cutting more, the tree roots to keep the top soil in the place and to stop the soil erosion getting reduced and naturally the rain water will flow soon after rain towards the river and causes floods in the river or dam then flow towards sea. Hence need to protect the forest and trees. Another one reason in the areas where getting more rain dont stop the free flow of water by constructing dam or store more water in the dam during rainy season. This will be a reason for the underground water to rush out in the weak areas in the form of land slides and overflow.
