Due to heavy rain recently,my bedroom walls developed dampness , and the mason suggested it cant be cured from house's exterior end , therefore can anyone suggest me how to protect dampness from interior side?
1.find the reason for dampness
2.find any waterlogging in exterior surface
3.check the sunshade where walls developed dampness, if any.
4.try to cover the exterior part with roofing sheet, if possible
5.finally, Water is the main reason for dampness.
Moisture in buildings can be caused by leaking pipes, rising damp in basements or ground floors, or rain seeping in because of damage to the roof or around window frames. The most common form of damp is condensation, condensation forms when warm moist air touches a cold internal wall or surface.
