you can provide a beam with one end's support on the wall and the other end support on the pillar. But the wall should be load-bearing and the column should not be floating column( column raised from ground floor roof slab) Proper reinforcement should be provided for column based on span & load to be supported by the beam. Better to take the reference from the structural engineer for details. Since the beam is 5 m.
