It warns people when fire, smoke, carbon monoxide or any other fire related emergencies are detected.
Basically fire alarms are of two types: photoelectric and ionisation. The way they sense the presence of smoke is different for each type. Flaming fire produces different type of smoke than smoldering fire.
Ionisation Detectors contain tiny traces of radioactive material between two electrically charged plates.Whenever the flow of ions is disrupted by smoke particles , the smoke detector goes off. In case of photoelectric Detectors Led light beams are emitted in the detection .When smoke particles come into this chamber, they scatter the beam of light which the sensor detects and alarm goes off.
A fire alarm system not only protects your property but also its occupants from the danger of fire. This is done by detecting fire, alerting occupants, managing risk
and notifying the fire department.
These systems use a network of appliances , control panels and devices to perform the above mentioned functions.
