Do not construct a septic tank by masonry. it will cost you a good amount. About calculation , An adult human as I remember will excrete 0.004 cumec per day for calculation purpose and need to consider bacteria decomposition too. I can't able to recollect the design calculation. But now a days these calculation is not at all needed. Coz ready built PVC septic tanks are available. 3 compartment ST with 25 flush is enough for you . cost approx 25000/- means 25 times per day usage will run for 10 years minimum. after that if required you can use sucker from corporation to clear of . if bacteria decomposition works good it will cross 15 to 20 years.

If you construct, 2mx1.5m x 2 m ( app. 25 users ) is enough. lf using readymade, Precast RCC / FRP / PVC, quality material, branded should be used and 35 flush is required.
