Jeffree Star

Inside Jeffree Star’s Stunning Hidden Hills Mansion, which he Sold For US$16.7 Million

Jeffree Star has finally sold his white mega-elephant of a house, more than a year after putting it up for sale. The magnificent spread, sprawled across 2.8 hilltop acres and quite possibly the largest and most gaudily extravagant property in all of Hidden Hills, sold for $16.7 million, according to documents.

While this is less than the $20 million Jeffree Star had initially requested, it is much more than the $14.6 million he paid for the property less than three years ago. It is also far more than the veteran YouTuber’s previous asking price of $15.5 million, which was the result of a last-minute bidding war, according to The Real Deal.

Concerning the purchasers, documents suggest that they are Pyae and Smile Maung, a married couple from Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, where they control multiple enterprises. The Maungs, who just purchased a $3 million property in Beverly Hills, formerly lived in Rancho Cucamonga, California, where they still possess a large mansion purchased in 2015. Rancho Cucamonga, a San Bernardino County suburb, is about 70 miles east of Hidden Hills.

Jeffree Star now primarily resides in Casper, Wyoming, where he has expanded his 70-acre home into a multimillion-dollar ranch operation spanning more than 300 acres and including 150 yaks, some of which Jeffree Star uses for his new yak meat brand.

The almost three-acre property, built in 2007, is characterised as a “French Normandy mansion” in the ad and is nestled at the end of a secluded cul-de-sac atop Ashley Ridge — possibly Hidden Hills’ most exclusive neighbourhood corner. The front yard of the massive estate, which is around 21,000 square feet and includes two linked guesthouses, is filled with meticulously groomed gardens and large trees. There’s also a 4,700-square-foot subterranean garage and a separate “barn” of 3,700 square feet. The home has 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms in total.

During his stay, Jeffree Star completely renovated the property in white and gold, bringing new life to the formerly beige-and-brown decor. The double staircase in the aeroplane hangar-sized entryway is capped by a domed skylight.

Just off the kitchen is a fireplace-equipped family room with French doors opening to a terrace. An adjoining bonus room/study served as Star’s “puppy room” — where his six Pomeranian dogs would frequently play.

Jeffree Star says that he “never” utilised his home gym until recently when he finally hired a personal trainer and a private chef to better his health. The gym is two floors tall and features top-of-the-line equipment costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
