WWE Champion and wrestler Phillip Jack Brooks, better known by the ring name CM Punk, turned 44 years old today.
Dedicated followers of pro wrestler CM Punk, born Phil Brooks, were crushed seven years ago when he abruptly retired from the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) business due to health problems and backstage intrigues. However, the former champion has recently made a wrestling comeback with rival AEW; at his August debut in Chicago, CM Punk’s wowed fans by entering the sold-out arena to his iconic theme music, “Cult of Personality.”
CM Punk also has a new house outside the ring, paying exactly $4 million or $750,000 more than the asking price for West Coast digs in Los Angeles’ famous Los Feliz district. The Spanish Revival edifice, erected in the 1930s, just received a major refurbishment. The property of CM Punk, tucked away on a quiet lane and surrounded by walls and a gate, has four bedrooms and six bathrooms spread across 3,700 square feet of updated living space replete with historical characteristics such as arched entrances, hardwood floors, and wainscot walls.
A broad Saltillo tile walkway flows from the street through a green front yard before emptying into a front courtyard highlighted with a fountain. A solid mahogany front door enters into a vestibule, which leads to a fireplace, living room and dining room, as well as an eat-in kitchen with custom cabinets, veiny marble countertops, stainless appliances, and a butcher block island. There is also a wood-panelled study on the main floor with a wall of bookcases and two ensuite bedrooms nestled away from the public spaces.
CM Punk’s master suite occupies the whole upper level. It features a vaulted millwork ceiling, a big walk-in closet, and French doors leading to a Juliet balcony with views of the surrounding hills and Rowena Reservoir. The top-floor master bedroom is a refuge with vaulted millwork ceilings, a spa-like main bath, French doors to a Juliet balcony with views of the surrounding hills and Rowena reservoir, and a spacious walk-in closet waiting to be personalised. The guest home with a wet bar/kitchen and full bath rounds off this mini-compound.
A marble bathroom comes with a jetted tub and a walk-in shower. The bottom level is dedicated to entertaining and relaxation, featuring a room with a fireplace and wet bar and two sets of French doors leading out to a flat grassy yard with a rectangular pool and a separate spa.
A guesthouse with a kitchenette and full bath is also on the property, as is a utility/flex room that may be utilised as an office, art studio, or gym. There is also a two-car separate garage. Lauren Reichenberg of Compass represented the seller, and Brad Gilboe of EXP Realty represented the buyer.
Other amenities include a huge laundry room and a utility/flex room ideal for a home office, art studio, gym, or other uses. Located on a quiet street only minutes from all Los Feliz and Silver Lake have to offer, such as shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. This is a home that ticks all the boxes and will set a new standard for living in Los Angeles.
