English actor Tom Felton who is best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the movie adaptations of the Harry Potter fantasy novels turned 35 years old today.
A fan wished him on Twitter saying, “ Happy 35th Birthday to Tom Felton! He portrayed our favourite Slytherin bad boy Draco Malfoy. #HappyBirthdayTomFelton”
Tom Felton’s Hollywood Hills West property sold for $176K more than the asking amount. The house was advertised for $1.449 million but sold for $1.625 million. The actor did extremely well. The home in Nichols Canyon was built in the 1920s and is refreshingly simple.
Tom Felton’s combined living and dining room features peg-and-groove hardwood flooring and glass doors to a shaded porch that extends down the front of the home and overlooks a brick-paved parking area. The hardwood flooring looks to be the most original thin plank and the brick fireplaces add a bit of solidity to the living room.
The home office of Tom Felton has floor-to-ceiling wooden shelves painted in the colour white. There is a wooden office desk placed in the centre with a comfy chair and pendant lighting.
The kitchen is open to a dining space that opens to the freshly re-landscaped backyard and is configured with butcher block countertops, an unusual layout, and more than one sort of tile flooring. The kitchen is a little cramped, but the hexagonal-tiled floor is unique and views out into the dining area’s glass wall and terrace beyond.
The master bedroom is unusually large, with a corner fireplace, a direct entrance to the garden, and a closet-lined dressing area that can easily be converted to a walk-in closet. The floor layout is typical Californian in that it is open, with easy flow from room to room, and floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as glass doors opening to the outdoors, provide an atmosphere of ease and relaxation.
A brand-new bathroom with a soaking tub built into a marble-topped platform and two oculus windows put into the mirror behind the marble-topped sink vanity. There is a rectangular mirror and antique wall sconces in the space.
The sitting room has a warm colour palette. A sofa with green leaves patterned upholstery sits in front of the glass windows. Behind the sofa, there is a wooden shelf where some books are kept. On the other side of the room, you can find a small dining area with white cabinetries and a round dining table.
Outside, there’s the obligatory pool, beautifully edged in brick with a nice small manicured delineation. Overall, the property has the imaginative appearance of a 1920s artist’s abode. The backyard isn’t very large, but it does have a trellis-shaded eating deck, an outdoor shower, a small patch of grass, a brick-ringed swimming pool, a lot of large and small plants and comfy pool loungers. The outdoors is filled with lush greenery and looks very appealing.
