Indian dancer, choreographer and television personality Shakti Mohan turned 37 years old today.

Shakti Mohan played the primary lead character in the fictitious dance-based adolescent series Dil Dosti Dance. In 2014, she was also a participant and finalist in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Her debut Bollywood song as a choreographer was “Nainowale Ne” from the film Padmaavat.

She has her own dance company, Nritya Shakti. For Seasons 1-4, she was also a judge and coach on the dancing competition reality programme Dance Plus. She is the younger sister of singer Neeti Mohan and the elder sister of dancer Mukti Mohan.

Sisters Neeti and Shakti Mohan appear in an episode of Asian Paints’ Where The Heart Is, a video series in which celebrities invite fans into their homes. Fans were allowed into the sisters’ “lovely little house, where the magic happens.”

In the video, they say, “This is the first time we’re sharing our personal area with everyone.” Living with their family, according to Shakti, makes the house feel ‘complete.’

The house’s visuals revealed a huge living room that also serves as a rehearsal place for the sisters. However, they mostly practise on their patio. Shakti Mohan stated that they practise dance and film videos on the lovely patio. “The hall is incredibly essential for us because we need the room to dance, and it’s been a constant in all our houses,” Shakti added.

Shakti Mohan also mentioned a ‘super-chilling zone’ that serves as their ‘personal area’ in the three-story residence. She stated that no matter where she goes in the world, all she wants to do is return to her room, which she characterised as ‘calm’ and a reflection of her personality.

The sisters were raised in Delhi and stated they were frequently misidentified as twins since they dressed in the same clothing, attended the same school, had the same friends, and even had the same phone. They talked about their beginnings as dancers and where they want to take their abilities in the video.

Shakti also said that what she really loves about her home is that she and her sister live with their family. She says it’s a little rare in Mumbai city so that is the thing she loves the most. Her terrace is one of her favourite places in the house. She and Mukti adore the plants there. It is also a place where they practice dance and exercise.

Shakti’s bedroom has a minimalistic design style. She loves to hang out and chill in the bedroom. Shakti works and meditates around the sofa area. Shakti describes her room as the most peaceful and personal place. ‘Mukti Mansion’, however, appeared more cluttered than Shakti’s space. Mukti’s room was decorated with a ‘thought wall’, and a bookcase.
