Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are parenting Gwen’s three children, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, between their homes in Los Angeles and their ranch in Oklahoma, and the former is a colourful world. According to Dirt, the magnificent three-story property in the Encino neighbourhood of San Fernando Valley boasts 13,000 square feet of living area and was acquired for a cool $13 million.

Images of the wedding are still pouring in, but all clues point to a large 1,300-plus-acre property outside Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Shelton’s home state, that he acquired more than a decade ago. The pair reportedly constructed and built the mansion with the goal of marrying there, and they have only recently moved in.

Aerial photos of Gwen Stefani’s house show a four-chimney, metal-roofed residence with a large front porch, a two-story stone garage, a pergola on the second floor, third-story dormers, and manicured gardens leading up to a pool. The house, which is estimated to be over 15,000 square feet in size, is unmistakably Southern with a Victorian flair. The entire estate overlooks a paparazzi-free lake.

Blume Architecture is a Dallas-based design-build business led by Christy Blumenfeld, a Tulane graduate who founded her own firm in 2003. Her website indicates that she recently finished a house in Oklahoma. The high-end boutique business primarily develops future-proofed, traditionally rendered single-family dwellings that are largely inspired by the region’s historical precedence.

According to Blumenfeld’s portfolio, as well as Bullard’s interior shot posted on June 19, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s marital home combines traditional and vernacular elements with some bold strokes, such as a curved second-story sleeping porch at the back facing the lake and two outdoor living spaces that give the back of the house grand symmetry. The home is designed to take advantage of the huge Southern sky while still providing enough playroom for Stefani’s three boys, such as the pool overlooking the lake, which Blume Architecture featured on its Instagram page with the comment “Summer sunset at a particular Ranch.”

Gwen posted numerous images of their Thanksgiving preparations, including a bacon-wrapped turkey made by Blake and her son Apollo. What drew our attention at the time were the thoughtful details placed throughout their new house. Gwen revealed in one shot that the couple’s initials, “B&G,” are framed in a giant neon light that takes centre stage on a white panelled wall with a dark wooden seat sitting beneath.

The walls going up to the first level are likewise white-panelled, with two massive 3D neon pieces of art. The first depicts a cowgirl sitting on the floor with her legs crossed and one knee in continual motion, while the second depicts a cowboy posing with his hands in his pockets.
