On Monday, ARMY is celebrating the 28th birthday of BTS’ RM, aka Kim Nam-Joon. Fans have been sharing clips and edits of the K-Pop sensation’s leader and rapper, dissecting the various sides to his personality, whether it’s his generous crab-loving self, the intimidating leader who keeps the group out of trouble, or the fiery rapper on stage.
According to Korean media, BTS member RM purchased a home in the prestigious Nine One Hannam complex in 2021. Because property acquisitions and sales for anyone, celebrity or not, are usually publicised online on Korean registrar sites, word of the celebrity purchase spread quickly.
On June 1, the media reported that RM had made his purchase for 6.3 billion KRW on March 31, 2021. (around 5.69 million USD). He was said to have paid for it entirely in cash, with no loans. On May 25, 2021, the deed was officially recorded in his name. His apartment, in particular, is said to be approximately 293.93 square metres in total space, including utility areas, and approximately 244.34 square metres in usable space.
It is in a prime location, between two metro stations and in the heart of the hipster neighbourhood of Hannam-dong. You can also see Hannam The Hill, where BTS use to reside there, right behind it. The Hill is one of Seoul’s most expensive neighbourhoods. It is home to K-pop stars, actors, and businessmen, and the apartments are also for rent. In fact, BTS members relocated to Hannam The Hill in December 2017. Bang Si Hyuk, the CEO of BTS, rented out the expensive apartment because he wanted BTS members to live in luxury and comfort.
After staying in one of the comfortable apartments, RM now has his own apartment in the same building. RM, on the other hand, is the second BTS member to buy an apartment here, as Jimnim already owns two apartments at Hannam The Hill, which he bought in July 2018 and October 2019. The complex has unrivalled amenities such as its own trekking path and central park, a gym, a basketball court, and a golf course, as well as a market, a restaurant, and a swimming pool, as well as other convenient areas such as a lounge for daily breakfast served by hotel chefs.
The apartment comes with a luxurious bathtub. Huge dress rooms with mirror doors are a basic option. The closet space also has a vanity table to keep grooming essentials.
The apartment has a dedicated space for working. It includes a wooden floating table and some shelves. There are large glass windows and wooden floors. The whole apartment conveys a white colour scheme with earthy tones.
The living room opens into your kitchen and hallway. The kitchen has black-coloured cabinets and a statement chandelier. There is also a separate space with white lower cabinets and granite countertops to prepare the meals.
The ceiling-to-floor windows are a dream in the living space. RM gets a view of the whole city from these windows.
The living space is now updated and looks like this. There are standing wooden shelves with some ceramic pots and a tiny painting.
