They simply select Random point As per revised IS code Before conducting NDT We have to ensure whether the test conducting Area should be free from reinforcement bars ( If not wrong result may get).Rebar detection system helps to locate rebars in concrete section. Then we do UPV (ultra sonic pulse velocity test) to ensure homogeneity of concrete in that particular area to which test is conducted . After only that we do Rebound hammer test (NDT) Note: Ultrasonic pulse velocity test for concrete is IS 516 (Part-5 Sec-1) : 2018.
