Retaining wall with hollow bricks is not advisable, the construction of retaining wall either with concrete or with DR(dry rubble)is suggested.Construction using DR will be economical.The base width should be 0.4 times the height of the retaining wall plus 0.3m(0.4H+0.3).The top width shall be a min of 60cm.

Thumb rule പ്രകാരം , DR ( Dry Rubble ) ൽ പണിതാൽ Base width 0.6 H കൊടുക്കുക , താങ്കളുടെ case ൽ 1.20 x 0.60, viz ,70 cm എങ്കിലും base width കൊടുക്കുക , 90 cm വീതിയിൽ excavation ചെയ്ത് , അടിയിൽ PCC കൊടുത്ത് , ഇടയ്ക്ക് 10 - 15 cm belt കൊടുത്ത് , top width 40 cm ൽ വരത്തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കുക , 10 cm belt , top ൽ കൊടുക്കുക , പുറത്തേയ്ക്ക് battered ആയി ( 30 cm ) പണിയുക ,it will be safe and budget friendly .
