Normal M15 or M20 grade concrete structure have 30 to 40 years duration. Above that the concrete structure depends on the durability and exposure to weather conditions it will be weakened. So if make an additional structure after 10 or 15 years the old structure will start to develop cracks or steel bars will get corosion.And the walls cement plaster may get weakened. Then have to spend money for maintenance by that time. So it is advicecable to construct a new house 1200 or 1500 sqft depends on the budget. After 10 or 15 years the old building can be demolished if can keep it there without any issue to construct new house there.
