Hai vinu. I am Sanish founder coffeewitharchitect I saw a question posted about foundation types. Basically the foundation of a building is the tool. Which transfer the whole weight + active loads like human + other weight. To earth. It is like a communication agent. For transferring.weight. Simple. But problem arise when the medium we make fail to transfer this load to ground. So before choosing a foundation type please ensure you consider the possible influencing factors like type of soil, type of soil 25 years before, any water body existed before,, then the plan of house. Any big room with spans bigger than normal seen.and many more. So once you know this factors u can decide the foundation types. So it's better you take a experienced engineering or architectural consultant as they can analyse this technically and doing maths calculation. But instead if you chose solely and behalf of local contractor they may or may not be wrong or right

soil test ചെയ്ത് മാത്രമെ എവിടെ ആയാലും building foundation ഏത് വേണം എന്ന് തീരുമാനിയ്ക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയുള്ളു . 2018 ൽ ഉണ്ടായതു പോലെ ഉള്ള flood ഉണ്ടായാൽ എറണാകുളം , ആലുവ , പറവൂർ ഒക്കെ അത്ര safe അല്ല എന്ന് ഉറപ്പിയ്ക്കുക , ഉറപ്പുള്ള മണ്ണ് ഉള്ള ( hard strata ) സ്ഥലത്ത് 2 നില വീടിനായാലും കരിങ്കല്ല് ( Rubble ) കൊണ്ട് 2 footing കൊടുത്ത് , belt കൊടുത്താൽ മതി . എന്നാൽ ഉറപ്പില്ലാത്ത മണ്ണിൽ , flood affected area / loose soil ൽ ചിത്രം വേറെ ആണ് ,ഇങ്ങനെ ഉള്ള ഓരോ സ്ഥലവും Soil test ചെയ്ത് വേണം foundation തീരുമാനിയ്ക്കാൻ . ചിലപ്പോൾ pile foundation വേണ്ടി വരും , ചിലപ്പോൾ raft foundation വേണ്ടതായി വരും ചിലപ്പോൾ sand pile foundation മതി , ചിലപ്പോൾ സാദാ column footing & grade beam മതി . ഇപ്പോൾ coastelbelt ഒക്കെ zeismic consideration കൂടി പരിഗണിയ്ക്കേണ്ടതായിട്ടുണ്ട് . നാം ഭാവിയിലേക്കായാണ് വീട് പണിയുന്നത് , experienced engineers ഉം ആയി consult ചെയ്ത് proceed ചെയ്യുന്നതായിരിക്കും നല്ലത്.
