Hi Sumesh Renovation is always a tricky business. You are basically marrying two members of very different ages. When you are joining two members of varying behaviours, cracks will happen. To a certain degree, these stresses that cause cracks can be avoided by using chemicals or mesh (example - chicken mesh in plastered walls). But the fact remains that sooner or later cracks will happen due to varying degrees of temperature coefficients of the old materials and new materials. A smart thing to do would be to plan interiors in such a way that these cracks are getting hidden somehow.

നിങ്ങളുടെ wall ഉം ഫൌണ്ടേഷൻ ഒക്കെ സ്ട്രോങ്ങ്‌ ആണെങ്കിൽ cracks ന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ വല്ല്യ ഭയം ഒന്നും വേണ്ട.

if the walls and Foundation is strong, then no worry about casting Concrete (rcc)roof, need to inspect regarding . did your design ready?
