Get ready to enter Kris Jenner’s home. The momager-of-six shows off her brand-new Hidden Hills house in a trailer from a forthcoming episode of The Kardashians, and it is every bit as gorgeous as you might imagine. Jenner collaborated with AD100 members Kathleen Clements, Tommy Clements, and Waldo Fernandez to create the apartment, which she acquired in 2020 after selling her tranquil home in the same area designed by the same team.
In the video, Kris Jenner’s daughter Khloé Kardashian, who is now building a house next door, shares her colourful perspective on her mother’s architectural style. “Living in Kris Jenner’s environment is just fabulousness,” says the Good American creator. “It’s like being surrounded by the grandeur and a dirty martini in a crystal glass, coated in jewels, and always made up in these dresses and candlelight and dinnerware and wonderful things everywhere.”
Khloé’s assessment is spot on, but there’s more going on at Kris Jenner’s home than unbridled wealth. Aside from the crystal, it isn’t extremely sparkling, opting instead for a muted hue and abundance of luxuriant textures.
Kris Jenner’s “dish room,” a walk-in closet furnished with spotless, well-lit shelving exhibiting exquisite china, was initially shown in March 2022 by Kourtney Kardashian’s website, Poosh. There are six Hermès sets, one Gucci Herbarium set in green, a bespoke set with Kardashian-Jenners images, and a full set of Royal Copenhagen’s Flora Danica porcelain pieces, which are created and painted to order. No two Flora Danica pieces are the same, and to give you an idea of how much these plates are worth, an entire set sold at Christie’s in April 2019 for $62,500.
A set of huge jade-green dishes hangs on the wall above Jenner’s dining table. With her statement wall decor, the reality star is in excellent company—Gwyneth Paltrow has a plate rack showing her blue-and-white Hermès china in her Montecito kitchen, and designers like J.J. Martin, Carolina Irving, and Frank de Biasi have all done the same in their own houses.
Kris Jenner’s famous children love to tease her about her love of martinis, but who cares when she’s sipping from the most elegant glassware? The above video begins with a well-stocked bar, complete with many silver cocktail shakers and what appear to be Williams-Sonoma martini glasses. The camera then moves over a mirrored cabinet containing a whole set of Baccarat crystals, with Jenner captioning an Instagram image in 2018: “Everything tastes better in Baccarat.”
Jenner has two little drinks tables in her living room for when she wants a spot to lay her Baccarat glass. There’s something immensely nice about owning an object that just performs one small-but-important function, and Jenner’s attention to detail is admirable. The revival of classic style appears to have reached one of America’s most contemporary households. Yes, Jenner’s living room has a modest marble fireplace and a sleek sofa, but it also features softer-looking components, such as a white armchair with a ruffled skirt.
