How to Hang Curtains Around a Bed Without Drilling

The presence of dirt or dust on the ceiling may prevent adhesive hooks from adhering in the correct manner. After pouring some rubbing alcohol onto a paper towel, clean the ceiling in each of the four corners of the bed to remove dust and debris.

Also, keep in mind that you should not use any kind of wood or glass cleaning. These items leave behind a residue that weakens the adhesive strip, and the residue is left behind by these products. For optimum adhesion, adhesive hooks need a flat and level surface.

Now in the next step you need to put a tape measure on the floor so that it touches the corner of the bed. Then raise it vertically until it reaches the top of the room. Put a mark on the paper with a pencil wherever the tape measure touches the surface. Proceed in this manner for each of the four corners of the bed.

Sticky strips are included in the package with adhesive hooks. You should push the strip down over the pencil mark that you drew, then peel the non-stick paper off of one side of the strip. Invest in a product that has a hook that is sturdy and won’t wiggle. Some sticky hooks have a hinge that allows for more flexibility, however hinged hooks cannot be used for this task. Always be sure to read the instructions that come with the product that you use and stick to them. Various goods may come with their own unique set of instructions.

When all of the strips have been adhered, remove the non-stick paper from the back of the strips. Take a hook and secure it to the strip by pressing it down. It is essential that the hook be oriented in such a manner that it faces away from the bed in order for it to effectively grasp the string. Maintain this hold for a full minute. Repeat this step with the remaining strips, making sure that the hooks on all of the strips point away from the bed.

Be sure to invest in sticky hooks that are able to support a significant amount of weight if you plan on hanging thick drapes. You should be able to determine what sort of hook to purchase based on the amount of weight that is specified on the product package for each hook type.

Make use of a tape measure to determine the distance that separates each of the hooks. You may estimate the entire length of the curtain string you’ll need by adding all the total lengths.

Some curtain styles have a tunnel at the back that is designed to accommodate a curtain rod; however, this tunnel may also accommodate a string. Put a hook in each one of the holes. If you don’t pay attention and miss any holes, the curtains will end up looking sloppy.

You may purchase a set of hooks online in the event that the curtains do not arrive with any hooks. You may also use clips instead, which would save the need to drill holes in the curtain panels. When hooks are used, sliding the curtains is made more simpler, and it is also much easier to replace them.

And finally, raise the drapes and secure each hook to the rope by lifting the curtains. To ensure that the hooks will stay in place, slide them back and forth many times. Installing a curtain set on each of the four sides of your bed will allow you to completely enclose it.

If you don’t want to draw the curtains over the whole of your bed, you have the option of merely doing so in one or two areas. You will still end up with a good effect using this method.
