KARTHIKA Location : Thrissur Built Area : 1250 sqft Year of Completion : 2022 . . . Nestled amidst lush green canopies ,’KARTHIKA’ is a minimal tropical home for a family of 6. The concept evolved around the idea of creating spacious volumes filled with natural light and weaving in with its natural site context. A north facade with broad openings and a spacious sitout act as a major transitional zone connecting interiors and exteriors. Living with a wide clerestory window brightens up the large volume and creates a lively atmosphere. The central indoor courtyard with inbuilt seating space brings in an element of nature to the home. The slit skylight above the courtyard feeds the greenery with ample sunlight. Connected to living, the open dining and pooja areas are conceived as more warm and earthy spaces which define the overall volume. #residenceproject #KeralaStyleHouse
