Rauf’s new home is in Naduvattam in Kozhikode district. The design of the house is its highlight, as it defies the lack of space. The house was built on just 5.25 cents. Still, there is a yard to park two cars. The interiors are spacious.
The roof was cast flat and slanting to get maximum view on the small plot. The side wall of the balcony was given a groove and highlighted with blue texture paint. The yard was decorated with tandoor stone and grass.
The 2,200 square feet facility includes a porch, seating area, living, dining, kitchen, work area, four bedrooms, prayer area, balcony and open terrace.
The living room was separated for privacy and from there you enter the dining hall. In real it felt more spacious than the open plan.
The stair portion is in double height and vents were provided there. It removes warm air from the house, resulting in a more comfortable environment. The stair is in a wood + toughened glass finish. The steps are also paved with wood.
Granite is used in common area. The furnishing is in plywood + veneer finish. The furniture in the living room is made of acacia. The bed and windows are made of teak.
Dining table is with a bench concept on one side. There is also a small patio attached to the perimeter wall from the dining room.
The bedrooms were provided with gypsum false ceilings and LED lights. Wardrobes were provided with spacious storage. All three bedrooms have attached bathrooms and common toilet was also arranged.
Kitchen cabinets are in plywood + auto paint finish. Nanowhite is used on the counter. The work kitchen was also provided by extending the work area at the back of the house.
It is another look to see the house when the highlighter lights are on at night. This house is a good example of how to overcome space constraints through effective planning.
